Kids Drop-in - Preloved Penguins

The UK throws around 300,000 tonnes of clothing waste into landfill each year, so why not make our old clothes into something new instead?

From a King to a Little Blue, kids will create a mini artwork of their favourite penguin using upcycled fabrics. They will pick a template, draw, cut and stick to complete their own Antarctic friend.

Part of "Wild World: Living and working in Antartica" at Sol Creative Foundry. A day of conservation, craft and storytelling for families.

There will be two drop-in sessions running in-between the talks on the day:

11:30am to 1:30pm

2:30pm to 4pm

One ticket per child.

WHAT TO EXPECT

• Cut and stick and kids craft activity

• 2 hour drop-in session

• Pre-book or drop-in

• Ideal for ages 4-12

• Adult supervision required

• Preloved clothes and fabric scraps

• Preloved denim

• Non-toxic fabric glue
